Diego Continues His Career in Radio - And Environmentalism

I have my second radio gig: Following the footsteps of former outLoud producer Alla Perkareva, I've been hired to be a member of Generation PRX's Youth Editorial Board. My job is to highlight radio pieces on environmental issues. This job is especially perfect for me, since I'm majoring in Environmental Studies at Macalester College. (And by the way, can we send me some sweaters up here in Minnesota?) Starting in January, I'll get to blog about pieces on the GPRX wesbsite, and even get paid to do it. I hope to expand people's perceptions about what environmental issues are, and choose some pieces the creators didn't even think of as pieces about the environment. Being at Third Coast International Audio Festival was vital to getting this job: I talked to all three people involved in hiring for this position, and they hired me based on those conversations. The connections I made in the radio world at Third Coast are already paying off.
